Beginning his real estate journey in 2016, Matt Medvecz immersed himself in the realm of retail focused brokerage exclusively in Tenant and Landlord representation before transitioning in 2020 as Vice President of Real Estate Development for a nationally recognized growth oriented physical therapy outpatient brand. In this capacity, Matt oversees all facets of retail growth strategies, from initial site selection to clinic openings, navigating through LOI’s, lease negations, municipal construction permitting, budget planning to allow expansion, general contractor management, managing space design with architects, company branding, and signage permits / design / branding.
Notably, under his guidance, this company has burgeoned from 15 to 100 clinics, establishing Matt as their master broker on a national scale, with future growth plans to continue over the foreseeable future. His expertise extends to new clinic launches, relocations, renewals, and acquisitions. Matt has a knack for devising growth strategies tailored to potential long-term goal oriented private equity-backed companies and expanding local retail companies with a regional or national expansion focus.
Prior to Matt’s real estate endeavors, Matt was a professional hockey player and the first ever three-year captain at Miami University during his college career. Today, Matt serves as a youth hockey director and coach for a local hockey organization. Together, Matt, his son Tyson and wife Janel enjoy spending time at ice rinks, golf courses, art museums and most importantly simply spending time as a family together.
